Get Your Cleaning Company Into the Google Maps Top 3
Your Google Business Profile is the single most visible piece of real estate you own online. Most cleaning companies have never properly set it up. We fix that — completely done for you.
Your Google Business Profile Is How Most Clients Find You
When someone searches “house cleaning near me” or “maid service Denver,” Google shows a map with three local businesses at the top of the page — before any websites, before any ads. That’s the Google Maps 3-pack. The businesses in it get the vast majority of clicks and calls.
Your Google Business Profile (GBP) — formerly Google My Business — is what determines whether you appear there. And unlike SEO, which can take months to build, a well-optimized GBP can move you into the 3-pack in as little as 30–45 days.
The challenge: most cleaning company owners set up their profile once and never touched it again. Meanwhile, Google has quietly made it one of the most complex and high-impact local marketing assets available.
- ✓GBP listings get 5× more views than a business’s own website for local searches
- ✓Businesses in the Maps 3-pack capture 44% of all local search clicks
- ✓A complete, optimized profile gets 7× more clicks than an incomplete one
- ✓Reviews on your GBP now feed AI-generated search answers — they’re more important than ever
A Complete GBP Overhaul — Done for You
Most cleaning company profiles are missing 60–80% of what Google wants to see. Here’s everything we fix and build out.
Category Optimization
Most cleaners only select one category. Google allows up to 10. We select every relevant primary and secondary category — “House Cleaning Service,” “Commercial Cleaning Service,” “Janitorial Service,” and more — to maximize what searches you appear for.
Business Description
Your description is searchable — Google reads it. We write a 750-character, keyword-rich description that tells Google exactly what you do, where you serve, and why clients choose you. Most businesses have 2 vague sentences here.
Services & Attributes
We fully populate your services section with every cleaning service you offer, each with its own description and price range. We also optimize every available attribute — online booking, background checks, eco-friendly products, and more.
Photo Strategy
Profiles with 100+ photos get dramatically more views. We audit your current photos, provide a specific shot list (team, equipment, before/afters, local landmarks), and optimize file names and metadata for each upload.
Review Generation System
Reviews are the #1 trust signal for homeowners and a major ranking factor. We set up a simple, repeatable system to collect 5-star reviews from every completed job — including a review request template and a direct review link to send clients.
Google Posts Setup
Profiles that post regular updates rank higher. We create your first 4 Google Posts — covering your services, a seasonal promotion, a team spotlight, and a before/after — and show you exactly how to keep posting monthly.
Service Area Configuration
Your service area settings directly affect which searches you show up for. We configure your service boundaries by specific cities, suburbs, and zip codes — not a vague radius — so you rank where your best clients actually are.
Q&A Section
Google’s Q&A section is indexed and searchable — but almost no cleaning companies use it. We seed it with the 8–10 most common questions clients ask, with keyword-rich answers that help you rank and convert browsers into callers.
NAP Consistency Audit
Inconsistent business name, address, or phone number across the web confuses Google and tanks your Maps ranking. We audit your top 20 directory listings and flag every inconsistency so they can be corrected.

Questions About GBP Optimization
Yes — they’re related but distinct. Full SEO focuses on ranking your website in Google’s organic results, which takes 3–6 months and involves content creation, technical fixes, and link building. GBP optimization focuses specifically on your Google Maps listing, which is a separate ranking system with its own set of signals.
For many cleaning companies, GBP is actually the higher-priority starting point because it affects the 3-pack that appears above the organic results — and it shows results much faster. We often recommend starting with GBP and adding full SEO once you’re ranking in Maps.
Most cleaning companies see measurable improvement in their Maps visibility within 30–45 days of a full optimization. Some less competitive markets see movement even faster. The category and service area changes tend to have the most immediate impact.
That said, the review velocity component takes time to build — which is why we set up a system that keeps working for you long after the initial optimization is complete.
We handle everything that can be done on our end. There are two things we’ll need your involvement on: access to your Google Business Profile (we’ll walk you through granting manager access — you remain the owner), and photos if you don’t have any good ones. We’ll give you a simple shot list of exactly what to take.
Beyond that, we write, optimize, and upload everything. You’ll approve a summary of what we’ve done before anything goes live.
No. Everything we do follows Google’s guidelines exactly. We don’t use keyword stuffing, fake reviews, or any tactics that could put your profile at risk. Our approach is straightforward: complete your profile fully, make it accurate, and give Google the signals it wants to see. There’s nothing aggressive or risky here.
GBP optimization is included in all of our full SEO programs — it’s one of the first things we do. If you start with GBP-only and later want to add the full program, your GBP setup work carries over completely at no additional cost, and we’ll credit your first month of GBP management toward the full program.
Many of our best long-term clients started as GBP-only — it’s a great way to see how we work and get fast early results before committing to a broader engagement.
Reviews are one of about a dozen ranking signals — having good ones is great, but it won’t carry you into the 3-pack on its own. We regularly see cleaning companies with 80+ reviews that still aren’t ranking because of misconfigured categories, thin service descriptions, or incorrect service areas. Those are fixable in days.
During your free analysis we can look at your existing profile and tell you honestly whether your issues are review-related, structural, or something else entirely.

We’ll do a quick audit of your Google Business Profile and show you exactly what’s holding your Maps ranking back — free, with no obligation. Most profiles have 8–12 fixable issues we can identify in under 30 minutes.
